Lake Atitlan Painting

This is a painting I bought in Panajachel on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. The artist's name is Diego Hernandez and he is a painter of catastrophes. The people are on their way to market, with chickens to sell when they are attacked by wild dogs. Apparently this is a scene Hernandez saw when he was a young boy. I fell in love with it and had to have it.
